I am a writer and editor based in New York City. Over the past decade, I’ve focused on design and the built environment, and everything in between. Most of all, I like telling people’s stories, often through the spaces they inhabit and the objects they create.

Previously, I was the executive editor at Modern Magazine, which covered design, architecture, and the decorative arts. I’ve held positions at The Architect’s Newspaper, The Magazine Antiques, and Architectural Record’s GreenSource. My writing has appeared in The New York Times, Metropolis, Architectural Digest, among other publications. For five years, I was the editor-in-chief of Barnard College’s alumnae magazine.

I received my B.A. in American Civilization at Brown University, and a masters from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. I currently live in Brooklyn with my husband, toddler son, and Aussie shepherd.
